To request an extension for an assignment* please apply using the Extension Request and Tracking System

For “Reason for Extension Request” select: “Special consideration granted to student as detailed on an ECU Learning Access Plan (LAP)”
For “Please Provide Additional Context”: state “Please refer to my LAP, see copy attached”.
Then select “Attach Evidence” and upload a copy of your LAP.

*PLEASE NOTE: School of Engineering must apply in writing to their Unit Coordinator using the Application for Extension form

Relevant School Officers or Academic Staff from your school will assess your application, which can take 2 business days. You can track the progress via your Student Portal under the ‘My Cases’ option.

Please ensure you apply prior to the due date but not too far in advance. Your LAP supports an extension of up to 5 or 7 days (course dependent). Anything longer will require additional documentation, for example, a current medical certificate.
